You can get really creative with this recipe. The Alfredo sauce is the base, and it goes well with rigatoni, or another thick pasta. Spinach and bacon also go very well with this recipe, but you can change it up by using pancetta and peas instead, or even chicken and bell pepper.
For the Alfredo Sauce:
3 Tbsp of Butter
2 Cloves of Garlic, minced
2 cups of half and half cream
1 cup of milk
1 cup of parmesan cheese, shredded
Salt and Pepper, to taste
1 box of rigatoni pasta, cooked
8 slices of bacon, cooked and chopped into small pieces
3 cups of fresh spinach
Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat.
Add the garlic, and cook thoroughly. Add the cream and milk, and stir.
Add the parmesan cheese, and mix well. You may add more cheese, cream or milk if you want to.
Season with the salt and pepper, and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes on low heat.
Add in the already cooked pasta and bacon, and mix well. Add in the spinach last, as it will wilt pretty quickly!
After everything is mixed through, you are ready to eat. Enjoy!
