NYC: Gramercy Park and Flatiron District

July 3, 2017

I visited NYC over the summer, and spent most of my time around the Gramercy Park/Flatiron/Union Square area. I enjoy going to coffee shops (…and co-working spaces), as they are comfortable places to get my work done. One coffee shop I enjoyed spending my time in is at News Bar Cafe. Not only do they have a lot of drinks and pastries to enjoy, but they have a news rack of magazines. So, you can sit down, get some work done, sip on a coffee, and read!

I also visited the Union Square Greenmarket, one of NYC’s most popular farmer’s markets. There were a lot of booths, ranging from baked goods to cheese, fresh fruit and jam. There were even plants and flowers!

Eataly is a a typical tourist favourite in the Flatiron District. This speciality grocery store/cafe/restaurant definitely sparks up a little Italy in NYC, and they have a wide range of foods imported from Italy. Yes, it is a little bit to the pricey side, but it’s worth a try if you’re visiting NYC and craving some pasta…
